WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Right now, we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales and distribution growth across three key states: New York and Connecticut. The right person could reside in any major city within those three states and have significant field sales, national or regional key account experience within the beverage and/or alcohol industry in recent years.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work with the Director of Sales to build and implement the sales strategy and tactics necessary to deliver our collective growth targets while enhancing our partnerships with each distributor and key retailer across the assigned territory.
- Manage communication of expectations and timelines with customers and distribution partners, including product release schedules, volume forecasts, pricing, distribution targets, and support materials.
- Work with distributor chain teams and call directly on a combination of national and regional retailers to expand our distribution presence in your territory.
- Conduct frequent market surveys to:Ensure accurate pricing and programming are executed per NOCA standards.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities that allow us to expand and grow.
- Sell, secure, and execute sales opportunities.
- Become comfortable using our data resources via IRI and VIP regularly to identify additional opportunities and build compelling sales stories that support our initiatives.
- Develop annual budget plans by state, distributor, chain, and account, then track and report progress regularly (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) as dictated by business needs.
- Perform administrative duties in a timely fashion, coordinate and participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings among distribution partners and internal staff.
- Maintain and publish updated distributor and retail call logs to deliver consistent communication.
- Always maintain a professional demeanor and presentation, including situations in which alcohol is present.
- Travel regularly (up to 35%).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 3+ years of National, Strategic, or Key Account experience.
- 5+ years of Distributor Management experience.
- Sales Team Leadership experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively.
- Strong presentation, influencing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
